DTEK Odesa Grids buys nine pieces of new specialized vehicle

DTEK Odesa Grids is renewing the fleet of specialized vehicles. The field crews received nine pieces of new specialized vehicle, namely 8 Mitsubishi L200 vehicles and a car lift based on Mitsubishi L200. Such vehicles use half as much fuel for a conditional 100 kilometers and are certified per the Euro-5 environmental standard, so they do not cause an additional burden on the region's ecology. They are also maneuverable and perform off-road tasks. Therefore, accidents on electric lines will be eliminated faster.

A car lift will come in handy for workers when replacing insulators on poles, working with portable grounding, etc. Funds for their purchase were provided for by the company's investment program for 2021.

Sustainable development is a priority for DTEK Odesa Grids investments. We are upgrading the infrastructure of the company so that our teams could repair overhead lines more quickly, and customers have fewer interruptions time because of the accidents,” says Oleksandr Fomenko, General Director of DTEK Odesa Grids.

Also within the year, the company plans to purchase a truck crane with a lifting capacity of 25 tons, a dump truck, 9 vans for crews transportation, 2 mobile laboratories - ETL-10 and ETL-35, which will help our workers to find damage to the insulation of cable lines, 5 pieces of T-150K tractor mounted drilling rigs for work in distribution networks, a tanker for transporting transformer oil, a drilling machine on a truck chassis for high-voltage service and a forestry tractor (mulcher) for clearing overgrowth of power lines.
