DTEK continues restoring electricity: service is restored to more than 3,000 families in the Donetsk region

On May 7, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to 10 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring service to homes of more than 3,000 customers of the company. Energy workers continue working and restoring power, as soon as it becomes possible.

Situation remains extremely difficult in the Donetsk region. Nevertheless, emergency and repair crews of the energy company managed to reach part of equipment and lines and, in the course of 24 hours, restore power to 10 settlements, thus restoring service to 3,354 families in Kramatorsk and most of all Bakhmut districts of the Donetsk region.

Active hostilities are underway. 272 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Velyka Novosilka, where energy infrastructure is being regularly damaged due to constant shelling. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 74 days in a row and are doing everything possible in order to promptly restore power to settlements, affected by hostilities.
