DTEK continues restoration activities: electricity restored to 11,500 families in the Donetsk region

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have restored power to 14 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 11,539 households in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

In particular, the majority of restorations were in the area of Sloviansk, where the situation is super difficult due to shelling. Nevertheless, specialists of the energy company, accompanied by the military, were able to get to the damaged equipment and restore its operation in less than a day, thus restoring electricity to more than 6,500 families in the Sloviansk community.

Energy workers were also able to access damaged sites, repair the grids, damaged by shelling, and once again restore electricity to 2,300 households of the Toretsk community, left without electricity yesterday and the day before due to continuous hostilities.

Active hostilities are underway. Constant shelling again and again damages grids and equipment, shuts down energy enterprises. We ask our customers to treat the situation and possible power supply issues with understanding.

315 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 125 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
