Over the course of a week, DTEK has restored power to homes of more than 90,000 families in the Donetsk region

On May 02 through 08, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and restoration crews managed to completely or partially restore power to 126 settlements in the Donetsk region, left without electricity due to hostilities. Some of these settlements were left without electricity on multiple occasions. Electricity was restored to more than 90,000 families of company’s customers.

Active military activities are underway in the Donetsk region. Nevertheless, over the course of past week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore power to 126 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 90,632 families.

In particular, yesterday energy workers have completely or partially restored electricity to 30 settlements in the Donetsk region. Power is restored to 15,191 families in Pokrovsk, Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts. Most of them – in Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.

Many settlements in the Donetsk region required power restoration on multiple occasions due to regular shelling and damage of electrical equipment in the areas of active hostilities.

Residents of 251 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. Active hostilities are underway in the region, regularly damaging electrical equipment and power transmission lines. The most difficult situation is near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repair of lines.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 75 days in a row and are doing everything possible in order to promptly restore power to settlements, affected by hostilities.
