DTEK restored electricity to more than 3,000 families in Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region

DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists managed to promptly restore power to residents of the Kryvyi Rih district, left without electricity due to the damage of lines by morning shelling, thus restoring electricity to more than 3,000 families in the region. Despite frequent shelling, energy company’s specialists continue to restore power as soon as it becomes possible.

Difficult situation remains in the settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region, bordering the Kherson region. May 25 at about 5 a.m., a high voltage line in the Kryvyi Rih district was damaged by shelling. In half an hour, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists have conducted activities related to switching of consumers to the backup lines. It allowed restoring electricity to homes of more than 3,000 families.

Electricians are currently working to restore power to the neighboring power line and transformer substations (TS), connected to it. One of them is powering the pump station that provides water to residents of Apostolove. Grids restoration activities commenced immediately after provision of the permit for safe works performance by the AFU and the State Emergency Service. DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews went to the scene from the Nikopol district. Operation of the power line is to be restored by 15:00.

Since the beginning of war, DTEK Dnipro Grids repair crews were transferred to the emergency response and restoration operating mode and are doing everything possible to promptly restore power to settlements that suffered from hostilities.
