DTEK restored power to 5,000 families in 45 settlements of the Kyiv region and to the Irpin Central Hospital

On April 9, DTEK energy workers’ emergency crews have restored service to 5,298 families in 45 settlements in the Kyiv region, left without electricity due to hostilities. Energy workers continue repairing grids in towns and villages, liberated from russian invaders by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and cleared of mines by the Ukrainian military. Yesterday, they also restored power to the critical social facility in Irpin – Central Hospital. Emergency and restoration activities in the region continue, once the crews are enabled to safely perform them.

On April 9, DTEK electricians managed to restore power to 45 settlements in the Kyiv region. Namely, in the Bucha district service was partially restored to Irpin, Makariv, Iasnohorodka, Pashkivka, Osykove, Lypivka, Horenychi and Fasova. While in the Brovary district service was restored to Baryshivka, Peremoha, Shevchenkove, Velyka Dymerka, Skybyn, Rusaniv, Svitylnia, Hrebenki, Bohdanivka and Litky. Energy workers were allowed to restore damaged grids after the Armed Forces of Ukraine forced back the attack of russian invaders and cleared these territories of mines. Overall, in the course of the past 24 hours, service was restored to 5,298 families in the Kyiv region.

Besides, energy workers restored power to the Central Hospital in Irpin, liberated from russian invaders by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK emergency crews continue restoring power to settlements in Kyiv region that were liberated from russian invaders by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Energy workers of all DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators rallied to restore everything that was destroyed by the invaders. DTEK energy workers from Odessa region and the city of Kyiv are helping to restore damaged grids in the Kyiv region.

Electricians continue inspecting energy equipment and performing restoration activities. Emergency and restoration crews start their work immediately after mine clearance of these territories. First, company’s specialists restore 110-35 kV high-voltage grids that supply power to the settlements. Then, they start restoring 10-0.4 kV distribution grids that supply power directly to residential buildings.

On April 10, DTEK energy workers plan to perform power restoration activities in 15 more settlements of Brovary, Bucha and Vyshhorod districts.

The company cooperates with the Territorial Defense Forces and Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to access damaged sites. DTEK electricians jointly with doctors, volunteers and suppliers of the essential food and medications do everything in their power to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult circumstances.

Residents of 359 settlements in Kyiv region remain without electricity.

Emergency crews of energy workers are working non-stop for 46 days in a row in order to promptly restore power supply to settlements in Kyiv region, affected by hostilities.
