Electricity restored to 2,000 families: DTEK eliminated consequences of missile attacks in the Odessa region
Enemy missiles attacks on the Odessa region on the night of July 18-19 left 1,972 customers in one of the settlements of the Odessa region without electricity. DTEK Odessa Grids energy workers began emergency and restoration activities immediately after obtaining a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. By the morning of July 19, within few hours after the attack, they have restored electricity to 1,022 customers. By the evening of the same day energy workers have completely eliminated consequences of missile attacks and restored power to another 950 customers in the region. Electricity is now restored to all customers.
Emergency and restoration crews continue to work around the clock in order to promptly restore electricity to customers’ homes after emergencies, including due to attacks.
The company cooperates with the Territorial Defense Forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to access the sites of damage. Additionally, employees have specific guidelines related to working in emergencies and are provided with everything needed to restore operation of equipment in case of hostilities upon obtaining permits from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
