Over the course of a week, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 38 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region, de-energized due to shelling

Over the past week (August 15 through 21), DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency and restoration crews have restored electricity to homes of 18,500 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region that were without power due to shelling. Damaged grids were repaired in 38 settlements. Some settlements required restoration of electricity on multiple occasions due to frequent enemy attacks. Our specialists commence their work immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents.

During the week, not a single day has passed without enemy shelling the territory of Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts. Despite constant threat from russian aggressors, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists continue to promptly restore electricity to residents of the region.

Work is carried out immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and State Emergency Service. Over the week, power was restored to 18,560 families in 38 settlements, completely or partially de-energized due to hostilities.

The most difficult direction remains Nikopol district, which suffers from massive enemy artillery shelling every day. Shelling constantly destroys grids and equipment, leaving people without electricity. In the last 24 hours alone, DTEK energy workers have restored power to 5,000 families in 5 settlements of the region.

3,700 families in 9 settlements of the region remain without electricity. DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists will restore operation of lines as soon as possible, once they obtain a permit from the military.
