Energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO received state awards for electricity restoration

The President of Ukraine awarded state honors to the energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO for their dedication, professionalism and contribution to maintaining stability of the energy system.

Every dayenergy workers of DTEK Grids DSO are working in difficult conditions to provide Ukrainians with electricity and ensure operation of hospitalstransport and critical infrastructure despite enemy attacks. 

The President has awarded the title “Honored Energy Worker of Ukraine” to Eduard Kashkovforeman of the technical connection implementation unit of the distribution grids operation department at DTEK Kyiv Regional GridsHe has been working in the energy industry for over 30 years and is responsible for connections in the Kyiv Region. 

“During the war, electricity is the foundation for lifewithout electricity there is no communicationmedicine or safetyMy work is my responsibility and I clearly understand how important it is to act quickly to provide electricity to people’s homes as soon as possibleThis is what we work for every daydespite all risks, – noted Eduard Kashkov. 

The Order of Merit, III degree has been awarded to: 

  • Valentyn Astafievsenior dispatcher at DTEK Dnipro Grids; 
  • Oleksandr Zinchenkoelectrician of the emergency response field crew at DTEK Kyiv Grids; 
  • Vitalii Kolesnikhead of the Kramatorsk Power Distribution Zone at DTEK Donetsk Grids 

The medal “For Labor and Valor” has been awarded to: 

  • Ruslan Lobanovchief engineer of the high-voltage grids operation department at DTEK Odesa Grids; 
  • Mykola Poliakovhead of the Izmail precinct of Substations Repair And Operation Center at DTEK Odesa Grids. 

These awards underscore the importance of the daily work of energy workerswho rescue and restore the country’s energy system and grids after enemy attacks.
