Energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO received state awards for electricity restoration
Every day, energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO are working in difficult conditions to provide Ukrainians with electricity and ensure operation of hospitals, transport and critical infrastructure despite enemy attacks.
The President has awarded the title “Honored Energy Worker of Ukraine” to Eduard Kashkov, foreman of the technical connection implementation unit of the distribution grids operation department at DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids. He has been working in the energy industry for over 30 years and is responsible for connections in the Kyiv Region.
“During the war, electricity is the foundation for life: without electricity there is no communication, medicine or safety. My work is my responsibility and I clearly understand how important it is to act quickly to provide electricity to people’s homes as soon as possible. This is what we work for every day, despite all risks,” – noted Eduard Kashkov.
The Order of Merit, III degree has been awarded to:
- Valentyn Astafiev, senior dispatcher at DTEK Dnipro Grids;
- Oleksandr Zinchenko, electrician of the emergency response field crew at DTEK Kyiv Grids;
- Vitalii Kolesnik, head of the Kramatorsk Power Distribution Zone at DTEK Donetsk Grids.
The medal “For Labor and Valor” has been awarded to:
- Ruslan Lobanov, chief engineer of the high-voltage grids operation department at DTEK Odesa Grids;
- Mykola Poliakov, head of the Izmail precinct of Substations Repair And Operation Center at DTEK Odesa Grids.
These awards underscore the importance of the daily work of energy workers, who rescue and restore the country’s energy system and grids after enemy attacks.
