Energy workers resume registering electrical meters readings

DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists resume registering residents’ electrical meters readings. Meter’s reference data help ensure correct billing of customers for consumed electricity. Commencement of works in Dnipropetrovsk region is scheduled for April 18.

War in Ukraine forced many residents of the region to flee their homes and they are unable to submit actual meter readings. For this reason, the company conducts estimation of average readings according to monthly consumption, which is not always correct. That is why on April 18 DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists resumed registering customers’ reference readings, thus allowing verification of accurate functioning of the meters and compare readings for correct energy consumption billing.

Inspectors will not enter houses and apartments. Works will be carried out only on meters, located in the panels between floors, in the panels at the stairways and on transmission line poles (for private sector). There is no need to ring doorbells of apartments and houses.

How do I know that this is company’s employee?

  • DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists register reference meter readings only when they have employee pass, which is to be presented upon customer’s request;
  • Technicians will be wearing overalls with DTEK logo;
  • Specialists inspect the meter only; they do not offer any other services and do not take any payment from customers for services provided;
  • During his work, the employee may enter data in his smartphone or on paper;

The company asks residents of the region not to affect work of DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists and to provide access to meters.

Since the beginning of war, DTEK Dnipro Grids were transferred to the emergency response and restoration operating mode and are ready to promptly restore service in case of blackouts. Workers have specific guidelines related to working in emergencies and are provided with everything needed to restore operation of equipment in case of damage, caused by hostilities.
