On April 16, DTEK electricians managed to restore power to 7,057 families in 23 settlements of the Kyiv region. In particular, power was completely restored to the following villages in the Vyshhorod district: Prybirsk, Pyrohovychi, Shpyli, Leonivka, Zymovysche, Rudnia-Talska, Rudnia-Shpylivska, Katiuzhanka, Dudky, Abramivka, Volodymyrivka, Savenky, Rudnia-Dymerska, Vahivka, Liubydva, Lytvynivka, Rykun, Hlibivka and Demydiv.

Power was also partially restored to Hostomel, Irpin and Bucha.

However, in the morning of April 17, enemy shelling caused damage to one of the high-voltage substations in the Brovary district, thus leaving over 25,000 consumers without electricity. In 3 hours, company’s specialists have energized most of the customers, as well as hospitals in the city of Brovary. At present time, energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to the water utility of the city and to all customers by the end of the day, April 17.

DTEK emergency crews continue restoring power to settlements in the Kyiv region that were liberated from russian invaders by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Energy workers of all DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators rallied to restore everything that was destroyed by the invaders. DTEK energy workers from Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as the city of Kyiv are helping to restore damaged grids in the Kyiv region.

Crews of energy workers start their work immediately after mine clearance of these territories. First, company’s specialists restore 110-35 kV high-voltage grids that supply power to the settlements. Then, they start restoring 10-0.4 kV distribution grids that supply power directly to residential buildings.

On April 17, DTEK energy workers plan to perform power restoration activities in 27 more settlements of Brovary, Bucha and Vyshhorod districts.

Emergency crews of energy workers are working non-stop for 53 days in a row in order to promptly restore power to settlements in Kyiv region, affected by hostilities.
