DTEK restored electricity to more than 357,000 families in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions over the course of a week

Despite all security challenges, from November 18 to 24, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO managed to completely or partially restore power to 109 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 357,000 families in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

Last week, energy workers continued eliminating consequences of enemy shelling. The majority – in the Odesa region, which suffered yet another enemy attacks. From November 18 to 24, our specialists here managed to restore electricity to 321,400 families. 

Dnipropetrovsk region is now almost constantly suffering from enemy attacks that regularly damage grids and leave residents of the region without electricity. Last week, energy workers managed to restore power to 20,100 homes of local residents.  

Donetsk region, in its turn, continues to remain an area of the most active hostilities. Despite constant threat, specialists of the energy company continue to restore the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for repairs. Over the week, they managed to restore power to homes of 15,900 families here. 

“The enemy continues to attack the energy system of our country. Energy workers continue to hold the energy front and eliminate consequences of shelling for 1,006 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 16.1 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.  

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
