On the way to the energy independence: DTEK Dnipro Grids connected 7 green energy industrial facilities in 2024

Over the past year, specialists of the energy company connected 7 green energy facilities to their grids. Its capacity would have been enough to provide electricity to nearly 10,000 homes*. DTEK Dnipro Grids strives to be a reliable partner for businesses that plan to connect facilities (renewables) to the grids. As during the period of constant russia’s attacks on the energy infrastructure, renewables increase sustainability of the energy system and help maintain electricity in the homes of Ukrainians.

The most popular renewable energy’s (Renewables) industrial facility for the customers in the Dnipropetrovsk region is Solar Power Plantsover the past year, 6 SPPs contacted the company with connection requests. Additionally, energy workers connected one more powerful facility to the grids – a gas-turbine plant, which added to the distributed generation of the region. 

Small Renewablesplants make it possible for the larger number of Ukrainians to get access to electricity and reduce the load on the general energy system. DTEK Dnipro Grids facilitates development of the green energy generation, ensuring connection of new facilities to the grids in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This is our contribution to the fight with the enemy energy terror and support of the energy stability of the country in the conditions of war,underscored DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk. 

Additionally, 569 prosumers** were connected to the grids of DTEK Dnipro Grids in 2024, which is over one and a half times more than in 2023. Since the start of DTEK activities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a total of more than 8,000 green generation facilities were connected to the grids. 

* The level of energy consumption of apartments during peak hours, considering that one apartment consumes 3-5 kWh. 

** Prosumer is a portmanteau of the words producer and consumer.
