DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists came under fire during work performance

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists came under enemy fire during performance of works in one of the towns of the Donetsk region. Fortunately, energy workers were not hurt, though the crew vehicle was damaged. Shelling in the Donetsk region is ongoing and constantly complicates work of emergency and restoration crews. Nevertheless, specialists of the energy company continue to repair the grids once it becomes possible and restore electricity to residents of the Donetsk region.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists came under fire during work performance

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists continue to work in the Donetsk region despite the fact that restoring electricity here becomes increasingly difficult and dangerous. The enemy attacks on the daily basis, therefore energy workers crews come under fire more and more often too. In particular, today our specialists were performing their routine work in one on the towns of the Donetsk region. Once they connected the customer and began inspection of the equipment, an air strike happened. Two air bombs landed. Energy workers were thrown away with the blast wave, fortunately, they sustained no injuries. The crew vehicle was damaged, its windshield was squeezed out and its trunk lock was broken. The works stopped at once; specialists of the energy company immediately fled to the safer place. An air alert started after the strike.

Energy workers commence works on the grids, damaged by shelling, only upon permission of the military and SES. However, our enemy is insidious, and the crews may come under fire at any time anywhere. Over the course of three years of the full-scale invasion, DTEK Donetsk Grids restoration crews came under fire during restoration of electricity more than 150 times. Unfortunately, 17 specialists of the energy company were wounded.

Meanwhile, it is not only the restoration activities after enemy attacks that are dangerous, but the life in the Donetsk region is too: just a month ago, one of the energy workers, subjected to an air strike today, was wounded at home during yet another enemy shelling of peaceful settlements in our region.
