From October 12 to 18, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators (DSO) were able to completely or partially restore power to the residents of more than 600 settlements, de-energized due to enemy attacks, thus restoring electricity to more than 1.7 million families* in four regions and in the capital. Specialists of the DTEK Grids DSO repair the grids immediately after obtaining permission from AFU and SES.

The enemy continues to attack the energy system. In particular, he intensified attacks on the energy infrastructure of Kyiv and Kyiv region, while not suspending attacks on other regions too. This caused introduction of stabilization and sometimes emergency power shutdowns in some regions and in the capital.

The majority of last week’s restorations were registered in the capital. From October 12 to 18, energy workers restored electricity to 642,500 families, that were left without electricity due to enemy attacks on the transmission grids of another energy company, powering the capital.

The next largest number of restorations was in the Donetsk region. Over the course of the week, energy workers here managed to restore electricity to 474,200 homes of the region’s residents. The region remains the nucleus of extremely heavy fighting. Despite constant danger, energy workers continue to work and restore power supply.

Over the course of the week, specialists in the Odesa region, in their turn, were able to restore power supply to 243,500 homes, de-energized by constant enemy attacks on the region.

Over the same period, energy workers in the Kyiv region managed to restore electricity to more than 229,400 homes, left without power supply due to enemy attacks on power facilities, particularly on transmission grids of another energy company, powering the region.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, energy workers were able to conduct a number of grid repairs and restore electricity to 166,400 homes over the past seven days. The enemy is constantly attacking Dnipropetrovsk region, thus regularly damaging the grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.

“The enemy continues to attack our energy infrastructure. We continue to work, despite danger and attacks, for as long as 1,700 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 60.6 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity in some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

Energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as quickly as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from AFU and SES.
