Easter with electricity: over the course of a week, DTEK restored power to homes of more than 80,000 families
Last week, DTEK Donetsk Grids electricians managed to restore power to 116 settlements in the Donetsk region, despite active hostilities in the region. Service was restored to 83,662 families.
Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and restoration crews have restored service to 1,724 families in 6 settlements of Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts.
Some settlements in the Donetsk region required restoration of power supply on multiple occasions due to constant shelling and damage of electrical equipment in the areas of active military activities.
As of now, residents of 230 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. Active hostilities are ongoing in the region.
The most difficult situation remains near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Velyka Novosilka, where electrical equipment and power lines are being constantly damaged due to active military activities. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repair of lines.
