Continuing to restore electricity: DTEK restored service to homes of over 30,000 families in 17 settlements of the Donetsk region

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to repair a set of damaged lines and equipment, and completely or partially energize 17 settlements, left without electricity due to constant shelling, thus allowing to restore electricity to homes of more than 30,000 families in the Donetsk region.

On May 4, DTEK Donetsk Grids employees managed to restore power to 17 settlements in the Donetsk region, despite active military activities in the region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 31,416 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts. Most connections were in Pokrovsk district.

Situation remains difficult and active military activities are underway in the Donetsk region, regularly causing damage of power equipment and lines. 99 settlements on the Ukraine-controlled territory of the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation remains near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Velyka Novosilka. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repair of lines.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 71 days in a row and are doing everything possible in order to promptly restore power to settlements, affected by hostilities.
