Over the course of a week, electricity was restored to more than 8,000 families in 18 settlements: DTEK continues repairing grids, damaged due to hostilities

Over the course of a week (May 2 through 8), DTEK emergency and restoration crews have restored power to 8,405 families in 18 settlements of the Kyiv region, left without electricity due to hostilities. Company’s electricians continue restoring grids in districts of the region immediately after mine clearance of the areas by Ukrainian military.

May 2 through 8, DTEK emergency crews have restored electricity to 8,405 homes in 18 settlements of Vyshhorod and Bucha districts. They have completely energized Makariv and Borodianka communities. In particular, on May 8, energy workers managed to restore service to 661 homes in Hostomel, Irpin, Bucha and Horenka of the Bucha district, and in the Kukhari village of the Vyshhorod district.

9,000 households in 12 settlements remain without electricity.

On May 9, DTEK energy workers continue performing electricity restoration activities in settlements of Bucha and Vyshhorod districts, including as per requests of consumers, who returned to their homes in the liberated areas.

Energy workers of all DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators rallied to restore everything that was destroyed by the invaders. DTEK energy workers from Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as the city of Kyiv are helping to restore damaged grids in the Kyiv region. Electricians start their work immediately after mine clearance of these territories by the Ukrainian military and after provision of a permit by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, required to access damaged sites.

Emergency crews of energy workers are working non-stop for 74 days in a row in order to promptly restore power to settlements in Kyiv region, affected by hostilities.
