DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to more than 15,500 homes over the course of two days

Over the past two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to conduct a number of grids repairs after shelling and restored electricity to 5 settlements, de-energized by shelling, thus restoring power to homes of more than 15,500 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

During the first days of the week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists still kept carrying out repairs after enemy shelling. In particular, energy workers were able to restore power to residents of 5 settlements over the past two days, thus restoring electricity to 15,539 homes. 

Heavy fighting is ongoing in the Donetsk region. Constant shelling of the region, which is almost out of safe places, continues too. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, russians shelled settlements of the region 40 times over the course of the day. Energy workers have been working non-stop for 1,162 days and will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
