Restoring electricity: DTEK restored electricity to more than 12,000 families in the Donetsk region

Despite shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to 15 settlements in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts (the majority – in Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk), thus restoring electricity to 12,424 households.

Over half of them (in the area of Marinka) were left without electricity due to enemy shelling yesterday and the day before. The situation in this area is difficult due to hostilities. Nevertheless, energy workers were able to access damaged sites with the permission of the military.

Full-scale hostilities in the Donetsk region have been going on for almost four months now, causing more and more damage to energy infrastructure and energy enterprises. We ask residents of the Donetsk region to treat power supply issues with understanding.

322 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.
