Electricity is restored to more than 20,000 families: DTEK continues restoring power supply in the Donetsk region
On May 12, DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers managed to perform restoration activities on equipment and lines, and completely or partially restored power to 23 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 20,049 families in Pokrovsk (most of all), Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts.
255 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity due to active hostilities. The most difficult situation is near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka, where shelling and air assaults frequently damage electrical equipment and power transmission lines. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repairs.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 79 days in a row and are doing everything possible in order to promptly restore power to settlements, affected by hostilities.
