Service is restored to more than 8,000 families: DTEK continues restoring electricity in the Donetsk region

On May 5, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and restoration crews have completely or partially restored power to 24 settlements that suffered from active hostilities in the region. Electricity is restored to homes of more than 8,000 families in the Donetsk region. The energy company continues restoring power to its customers, as soon as it becomes possible.

Despite constant shelling, company’s specialists have restored power to residents of 24 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 8,576 families in Bakhmut, Pokrovsk and most of all Kramatorsk districts.

246 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation remains near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Velyka Novosilka, where power equipment and lines are being constantly damaged due to hostilities. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repair of lines.
