Restoring electricity: DTEK restored power to 11,500 families in the Donetsk region
Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to repair multiple damages of equipment and lines in 21 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 11,525 families in Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Volnovakha districts. The majority – in Bakhmut district. Energy workers finally managed to access damaged sites and restore power to families in Volnovakha district, who had to live without electricity for almost a month due to constant shelling.
Residents of 276 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity due to hostilities. The most difficult situation is near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka, where constant shelling frequently cause damage of electrical equipment. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.
