Restoring electricity: DTEK restored power to more than 18,000 families in the Donetsk region

Despite the difficult situation in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore service to 16 settlements in the Donetsk region that are suffering from constant shelling, thus restoring power to more than 18,000 families.

On May 13, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore service to homes of residents of 16 settlements, thus restoring power to 18,138 families in Pokrovsk (most of all once again), Bakhmut, Volnovakha and Kramatorsk districts.

Residents of 251 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka, where active hostilities frequently cause damage of electrical equipment and power transmission lines. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repairs.
