DTEK Grids DSO restored power supply to 101,700 homes in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions over the course of the week

Last week, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators (DSO) managed to completely or partially restore power to 128 settlements, de-energized by shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of 101,700 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids DSO restore the destroyed grids immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The majority of restorations are in the Donetsk region, which remains the nucleus of the most active hostilities with daily shelling, drone, missile and air strikes. Despite the extremely difficult situation, our specialists continue to repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. In particular, last week they managed to restore electricity to homes of 73,700 families of local residents.

At the same time, last week our specialists also managed to repair a number of grids damages in the Dnipropetrovsk region, especially in the south of the region, which is close to the area of hostilities, thus restoring electricity to homes of 19,600 families, affected by enemy attacks.

Kyiv region continues to suffer from enemy attacks too. During the same period of time, energy workers here restored power to 8,200 families, whose homes were de-energized after the attacks.

“Despite constant security challenges, energy workers continue to hold the energy front for 1,181 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 18.9 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

Energy workers of DTEK Grids are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
