DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than half a million homes in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Odesa regions over the course of the week

From March 9 to 15, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators (DSO) were able to completely or partially restore power to 305 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than half a million families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Odesa regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators repair the grids immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The majority – in the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting is ongoing. Despite an extremely difficult security situation, energy workers here managed to restore power to almost 392,000* homes over the past seven days.

The next in line with regard to the number of restorations is the Dnipropetrovsk region, which the enemy constantly attacks too. From March 9 to 15, energy workers here managed to restore power to 78,500 homes of local residents.

Last week, specialists in the Kyiv region managed to restore electricity to 52,000 homes of the region’s residents that were de-energized due to the enemy strikes.

Russians also continue attacking the Odesa region, where electricity has been restored to nearly a hundred families over the course of the week.

“The enemy attacks our country’s energy system almost non-stop. Nevertheless, we continue to work and restore electricity for as long as 1,482 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to a total of over 40.4 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity in some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
