The majority – in the Donetsk region, which remains the nexus of active fighting. Despite an extremely difficult situation in the region, caused by continuous fighting, energy workers managed to carry out a number of repairs and restore electricity to 127,000* homes of the region’s residents over the first week of spring.

From March 2 to 8, specialists in the Dnipropetrovsk region were able to restore power to 77,100 homes. The enemy is constantly attacking Dnipropetrovsk region, thus regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.

During this period, energy workers managed to restore electricity to 13,300 homes in the capital, which the enemy continues to constantly attack.

In their turn, energy workers in the Odesa region, which energy system the enemy does not stop targeting, managed to restore electricity to homes of one thousand families of local residents last week.

Besides, during the same period, energy workers in the Kyiv region managed to restore power to almost 300 homes that were also de-energized due to enemy attacks.

“The enemy attacks our country’s energy system almost non-stop. Nevertheless, we continue to work and restore electricity for as long as 1,475 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to a total of over 39.9 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity in some settlements close to the area of hostilities on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
