200 days of fighting on the energy front: DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 206,000 homes in the Dnipropetrovsk region

Since the beginning of a full-scale russian military aggression, DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers have restored power to 206,000 households* in the Dnipropetrovsk region that suffered from hostilities. Our specialists commence work immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents. Massive missile attacks on the power facilities in the evening of September 11 caused blackout of more than 200 settlements. Power supply is now fully restored to them, the situation is stabilized.

Dnipropetrovsk region continues to suffer from enemy shelling that frequently damages grids and leaves residents without electricity. Despite the daily threat of new attacks, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews promptly repair lines and equipment, damaged by the enemy, and are doing everything possible to restore electricity as soon as possible. Work is conducted immediately after obtaining a permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service. Over the course of 200 days since the beginning of a full-scale war with russian federation, energy workers have restored power to 206,000 households in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Last week (September 5 through 11), DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers have restored power to 73,000 families, left without electricity due to hostilities. Some households require restoration of power supply on dozens occasions due to frequent shelling and damage of electrical equipment.

A missile attack on the critical infrastructure facilities last night caused partial blackout of three districts of the region – Synelnykove, Pavlohrad and Novomoskovsk. In order to restore power supply, they were promptly transferred to the backup power lines. Besides, DTEK specialists have restored operation of grids in Nikopol district that was shelled yesterday. Over the course of a day, power was restored to a total of 68,500 households in 222 settlements, de-energized due to hostilities. Electricity is now restored to all affected districts, situation is stabilized.
