Over the 7 months of 2025, 444 residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region, who started producing electricity for the grids of the Distribution System Operator DTEK Dnipro Grids, have acquired the status of prosumers*. Energy workers contribute to connection of “green” and distributed power generation, providing all customers with free access to the electrical infrastructure. The increased number of renewable energy facilities makes Ukrainian energy system more resilient in the conditions of war and help communities become energy independent.
More energy to every home: almost 450 customers of DTEK Dnipro Grids became prosumers in 2025

Since the beginning of 2025, 444 home Solar Power Plants were connected to the grids in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which is almost 2.5 times more than during the same period last year.

At the same time, 25 legal customers of DTEK Dnipro Grids connected “green” and distributed power generation facilities during the period from January to August.

“Every new renewable energy facility is an important step towards strengthening the country’s energy security in the conditions of war and improving the operational reliability of the system. In addition to promptly repairing the grids after the damage caused by enemy shelling, our energy workers also actively upgrade the infrastructure, allowing it to efficiently integrate more and more “green” power generation,” – underscored DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.

Since the start of its activities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a total of almost 8,500 renewable energy facilities have already been connected to DTEK Dnipro Grids.

* Prosumer (a portmanteau of the words producer and consumer) is a household consumer, who produces electricity and uses it for his own needs at the same time.
