Why it is important to timely submit meter readings during the period of power outages, – DTEK Dnipro Grids explains

May 30 through June 3 is a new period of electricity meter readings submission. DTEK Dnipro Grids recommends making it your monthly ritual, especially if stabilization shutdowns were applied. As submitted readings will help us determine the volume of electricity, actually consumed by you during the current months, and the providers – to bill the correct sum.

DTEK Dnipro Grids calculates the volume of electricity consumed by you during one calendar month based on the meter readings that you submit during the two days before the end of the current month and during the first 3 days of the next one. If you submit meter readings on the 4th day of the month or later, then, in accordance with the law, we will have to calculate this volume based on the average daily consumption during the similar period of the previous year.

You can avoid discrepancies in billing and receive bills only for the actually consumed electricity if you do not forget to submit readings in time. This is especially important during the period of stabilization power shutdowns, when you consumed less than you usually do. This way, you will pay only for the electricity that you used during the month.

The easiest and fastest way to submit readings is via our chatbot:

  • enter “DTEK Dnipro Grids” in the search bar of Viber and Telegram messenger;
  • pass verification procedure (for unregistered customers);
  • select “Submit meter readings” in the menu and follow chatbot prompts to submit information.

Additionally, you can always find up-to-date information about schedules of stabilization power shutdowns in our chatbot.
