DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers restored electricity to more than 18,000 families over the course of three days

On October 9 through 11, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, have accessed a number of grids damages and repaired it. Electricity has been restored to the homes of residents of 41 settlements, affected by shelling, thus restoring power to more than 18,000 families in the Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the frontline region once it becomes possible.

Over the course of three days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored power to 41 settlements, thus restoring power to 18,666 families. 

According to the Donetsk RMA, the situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult due to constant shelling of the region. In particular, Avdiivka was shelled multiple times yesterday. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 133 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 596 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. About 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
