DTEK Dnipro Grids brings power back to 15,000 residents of the region

Thunderstorms, gusts of wind and rainfalls caused massive power blackouts across Dnipropetrovsk Region. Emergency teams of DTEK Dnipro Grids are still on the alert to restore power supply as soon as possible. Over the past day, our energy workers have restored functionality of 51 lines and over 1,100 transformer substations. More than 30 settlements have their power back. Electricity was returned to the homes of about 15,000 residents of the region.

At the moment, 19 settlements are completely de-energized and 15 are de-energized partially. About 5,000 customers in total. 13 transmission lines of 6-10kV and 173 transformer substations are de-energized. Most blackouts are in Podgorodny, as well as Verkhnedneprovsky, Krinichansky, Pyatikhatsky and Novomoskovsky Districts.

Emergency teams of DTEK Dnipro Grids have been working and will work 24/7 to ensure that our customers have a reliable power supply.

DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests, takes care of its customers and does everything to ensure that their homes always have electricity and comfort. More than 60 repair teams, 160 workers, 58 pieces of equipment are involved in emergency recovery work. The company's energy workers are making every effort to restore the power supply to the affected areas as soon as possible,” says Andrii Tereshchuk, CEO of DTEK Dnipro Grids.

According to forecasters, rainfalls, and thunderstorms with gusts of wind of 15-20 m/s are expected in the coming days within Dnipropetrovsk Region. Hazard level I (yellow) has been declared in the region.
