DTEK Dnipro Grids received vehicles for grids repair from the USAID
New Toyota Hilux vehicles were forwarded to the field crews that work in remote districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region. These cars will make it possible to work efficiently in the cross-country conditions and on the difficult and extreme sections of the terrain. All due to their maneuverability, off-road capabilities and substantial design that can endure large load. The received aid will allow energy workers to faster and more efficiently eliminate grids damage during the heating season and in the conditions of war.
“We are sincerely grateful to the USAID for the provided aid in replenishment of our vehicles fleet, which is especially important after the loss of a share of our machinery. The new vehicles will help us faster respond to requests of the residents of the region and faster eliminate emergencies on the grids. It will significantly improve mobility and efficiency of our crews, thus making it possible to ensure uninterrupted power supply, even in the most difficult wartime conditions,” – commented DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.
Russian invaders in the Dnipropetrovsk region regularly attack vehicles of DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews during repair activities near the area of hostilities. Several items of machinery have been lost and damaged over the past few months. Nevertheless, energy workers continue their work, often risking their lives, to provide residents of the region with electricity.
