The energy company forms an emergency stock in advance based on the risks of bad weather, expected load on the grid and experience of previous years.

In particular, DTEK Dnipro Grids purchased almost 30,000 items of components, poles, consumables, as well as 11 transformers and more than 5 km of cables, required for prompt replacement of damaged elements of the grid of all voltage categories in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Our priority is for the emergency crews to be able to work without delay and quickly restore electricity to people. We create an emergency stock of required materials and equipment in advance in order to be ready for any situation during the heating season. In 2025, we have already purchased machinery and materials worth almost UAH 39 mln, and by the end of the year, we plan to replenish the emergency stock for another UAH 5,2 mln in order to ensure stable operation of the grids in winter,” – explained DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.

Distribution System Operator continues to prepare the grids for the peak loads on a daily basis, coordinates logistics of materials release and carries out additional briefings for emergency and restoration crews as part of preparation for winter.
