DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to 8,700 families yesterday

On August 5, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to restore electricity to residents of 25 settlements, de-energized due to constant shelling, thus restoring power to 8,700 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to repair a number of power facilities, damaged by enemy shelling, and completely or partially restore power to 25 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 8,760 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, russians shelled settlements of the Donetsk region 10 times yesterday. 

Shelling continues to destroy grids and equipment. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 895 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
