DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to 1,400 families over the course of the day

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, repaired a number of damages and restored electricity to 4 settlements, thus restoring power to 1,400 families in the frontline Donetsk region. Energy workers commence repairs once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance in order to support residents of the region in the difficult situation of constant hostilities.

On August 23, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 4 settlements, affected by constant shelling of the region, thus restoring electricity to 1,420 homes in the Donetsk region. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the Ministry of Defense, several dozens of settlements in the Donetsk region suffered artillery shelling yesterday. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 111 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 547 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
