DTEK Donetsk Grids restored power to 5,000 families over the course of two days

On January 24 and 25, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to restore power to 7 settlements of the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of 5,000 families. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the frontline region once it becomes possible.

Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists conducted a number of grids repairs, damaged by shelling, and restored electricity to 7 settlements, thus restoring power to homes of 5,198 families. 

Donetsk region remains an arena of active hostilities. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy attacked settlements of the region 8 times over the course of the day. In particular, Myrnohrad was hit by a missile strike. 

Constant shelling damages grids and equipment. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 702 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. More than 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
