Despite constant shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to 68 settlements yesterday, thus restoring electricity to homes of 10,700 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

On August 23, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists performed a number of grid repairs after shelling and restored power to 68 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring power to 10,764 families. 

Heavy fighting is ongoing in the Donetsk regionю Constant shelling continues to destroy grids and equipment. Meanwhile, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists continue repairs once the situation and the military allow and are working non-stop for 911 days in a row. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
