DTEK Donetsk Grids continues repairs after shelling: electricity has been restored to more than 40,000 families

Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to 17 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 40,000 families in the frontline Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

On August 9 and 10, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 17 settlements, thus restoring power supply to homes of 40,531 families in the Donetsk region. 

According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the region continues. In particular, Vuhledar alone was shelled 22 times yesterday. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 109 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 534 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
