DTEK Donetsk Grids continues repairs: electricity has been restored to 2,300 families
On May 8, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 9 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring access to power supply for 2,336 families.
The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. Shelling continues. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Heavy battles are being fought over Bakhmut and Marinka.
Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 112 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 440 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
