DTEK Donetsk Grids continues to repair the grids after hostilities: electricity has been restored to almost 24,000 families

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to conduct a number of repairs and restore electricity to residents of 7 settlements, thus restoring power to almost 24,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

On June 29, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 7 settlements, affected by shelling, thus restoring power to 23,812 families. 

Heavy fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. Shelling, missile and air strikes continue. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, Vuhledar alone was shelled 17 times over the course of the day. 

117 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
