Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to 44 settlements, de-energized due to shelling

From January 15 to 21, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to conduct a number of grids repairs, thus restoring electricity to homes of residents of 44 settlements in the Donetsk region. Access to power supply has been restored for more than 24,500 families. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance. Since February 24, 2022, specialists of the energy company have restored power to a total of 6.8 mln families* in the Donetsk region.

Despite constant shelling, energy workers are working and restoring power supply of the region. Last week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 44 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 24,507 families in the frontline Donetsk region.

Including the weekend, when energy workers were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to 12,500 families in 9 settlements, de-energized due to constant shelling.

According to the Donetsk RMA, shelling of the Donetsk region is ongoing. Missile and air strikes continue. In particular, Lyman community was shelled 23 times yesterday.

Active shelling in the Donetsk region constantly damages grids and equipment. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
