On October 12, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to restore power to residents of 5 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling. Energy workers have restored electricity to homes of over 19,000 families. Specialists of the energy company are doing their best to promptly restore power once it becomes possible in order to support residents of the Donetsk region in this difficult situation of constant hostilities.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have repaired damages and restored service to 5 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 19,261 families.

Hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. For instance, according to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts were shelled again last night.

88 settlements throughout the region remain without electricity. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
