DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored power to homes of more than 5,000 families

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore power to 36 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 5,000 families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to promptly restore power once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

On September 22, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to repair a number of grids damages and completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 36 settlements, thus restoring power to 5,331 families in Bakhmut, Volnovakha and Pokrovsk districts.

The majority of restorations were carried out in Pokrovsk district. In particular, electricity has been restored to more than 2,000 families in Avdiivka and 2,600 families in Selydove communities. Additionally, energy workers, with the permission of the military, managed to work in Bakhmut, Velyka Novosilka and Toretsk communities.

Active hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, the enemy has shelled Bakhmut, Toretsk, Sloviansk and other communities yesterday. For instance, Bakhmut community was under fire the entire previous day.

The situation in the region remains extremely difficult. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Toretsk and Marinka.

84 settlements of the region remain without electricity. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
