DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids purchased additional materials for prompt restoration of electricity worth almost 37 mln hryvnias in 2025
The energy company forms an emergency stock in advance based on the risks of bad weather, expected load on the grid and experience of previous years.
In particular, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids purchased over 27,000 items of components, poles, consumables, as well as 19 transformers, required for prompt replacement of damaged elements of the grid of all voltage categories in the Kyiv region.
“Our priority is to fully equip emergency crews with everything needed for prompt repair of the grids. Therefore, we form an emergency stock of equipment and required materials in advance. Over 9 months of 2025, we have already purchased almost 37 mln hryvnias worth equipment and materials, and by the end of the year, we plan to replenish the emergency stock for another 3,6 mln hryvnias based on the weather needs,” – explained Vitalii Shaida, CEO at DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.
Distribution System Operator continues to prepare the grids for the peak loads on a daily basis, coordinates logistics of materials release and carries out additional briefings for emergency and restoration crews as part of preparation for winter.
