According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, worsening of weather conditions is expected in the Kyiv region on December 15. It forecasts significant sleet and wind gusts up to 18 meters per second. Such weather conditions have already caused a number of emergency power outages in the region. DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids emergency crews have been transferred to the enhanced mode and are working 24/7 in order to timely eliminate emergencies.
DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids emergency crews have been transferred to the enhanced mode due to worsening of weather conditions

On December 15, the situation with power supply in the Kyiv region is complicated by worsening of weather conditions. Snow and wind gusts up to 18 meters per second have already caused mass falling of trees and power lines breaks.

Kyiv-Sviatoshyn, Borodianka, Vyshhorod and Zghurivka energy centers have suffered from bad weather the most. Overall, bad weather left 25 settlements in the region completely or partially without electricity, and that makes over 10,000 homes. Energy workers are working in an enhanced mode in order to eliminate emergencies and restore power supply to families that remain without electricity due to bad weather.

We ask everyone to keep safety rules in mind — not to approach bare wires, broken lines, open doors and hatches of electrical installations, as well as damaged poles.

In case of a power outage, please inform us about it via convenient remote services:

At the same time, round-the-clock emergency restrictions of power supply are currently applied in the Kyiv region in accordance with the order of system operator NPC “Ukrenergo”. Therefore, some consumers are temporarily without power supply according to the energy system needs. Stabilization schedules are currently not valid.

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids makes every effort to provide electricity in turn 3-4 hours at a time, where possible, providing there will be no additional restrictions from NPC Ukrenergo.

DTEK Grids is a foundation and support for normal life of the country and Ukrainians. We do not stop our work and continue to maintain reliability and quality of power supply for residents, enterprises and institutions of the Kyiv region.
