DTEK Grids won an international award for innovations in the field of occupational safety
The award was granted for the project “Photo and video monitoring of workplace preparation and permit-to-work process,” introduced by the Distribution Systems Operators last year. This project was implemented within the framework of the long-term ESG strategy of the company, which, in the field of occupational safety in particular, is aimed at reducing the risk of accidents, minimizing impact of the human factor and ensuring monitoring of safety rules compliance.
The award was presented to Oleksandr Tatarenko, head of the occupational safety department at DTEK Grids. “DTEK Grids systematically develops occupational safety culture in compliance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This is especially important now, when energy workers have to work under attacks and in conditions of increased danger. This award confirms that our technologies comply with the highest international standards. We will continue further development of the safety culture, as lives and health of employees is our main priority,” — he noted.
The forum became a platform for discussion of leadership, best practices and risks of the new draft law on occupational safety. Separately discussed topics included mental health, inclusivity and adaptation of veterans in the working environment.
