DTEK Odesa Grids is eliminating consequences of bad weather

DTEK Odesa Grids is eliminating consequences of bad weather that occurred on the night of September 11. Energy workers have already restored power to 13 settlements of the region, repaired 6 overhead lines and 89 transformer substations. Overall, thunderstorm and squall wind caused de-energization of 14 overhead lines and damaged 240 transformer substations, leaving 26 settlements of the region without electricity. Energy workers are doing their best to promptly restore electricity to every home.
DTEK Odesa Grids is eliminating consequences of bad weather

As of 14:00, emergency and restoration crews have already restored electricity to 13 settlements of the region, repaired 89 transformer substations and 6 overhead lines. Currently, 13 settlements remain without electricity, 7 of them – partially. Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi and Odesa districts suffered the most. Restoration of power supply is ongoing. The company has engaged 15 crews (40 employees and 17 pieces of machinery) to eliminate consequences of bad weather.

Overall, thunderstorm and squally wind gusts in the Odesa region left 26 settlements without electricity, damaged 14 overhead lines (one of them partially) and 240 transformer substations. Energy workers are doing their best to promptly restore electricity to all residents of the region.

Distribution System Operator reminds the safety rules:

  • avoid power transmission lines during strong wind;
  • do not approach bare wire and broken lines and never touch them;
