Even during the full-scale war, DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators continue to increase capacity of equipment and its reliability in order to ensure electricity supply to the Ukrainians. In 2023, energy workers repaired and reconstructed almost 6,200 kilometers of overhead lines and 2,223 power facilities of various voltage class. All these works made it possible to prepare the infrastructure of Odesa, Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions and the capital for going through the cold season and make operation of the energy system more resistant to enemy attacks.

Additionally, as per the investment program, DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators reconstructed 132 power facilities of various voltage class. In particular, energy workers upgraded more than 62 kilometers of overhead lines, built almost 7,500 kilometers of cable lines in the Odesa region and laid a 150 kV underground cable line in Dnipro. These works improved quality and reliability of power supply to almost 330,000 customers in the capital and in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

“DTEK Grids is a foundation and support for normal life of Ukrainians. In 2023, we have been systematically preparing our grids, reinforcing it, whenever required, repairing, replacing equipment in order to be prepared for any situations. Performed works allow us to stably provide families with electricity and faster restore power supply after enemy shelling by reinforcing and repairing the grids, in particular,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

Due to active hostilities and extremely difficult situation in the Donetsk region, energy workers of the region focus all their efforts on restoration of the grids after enemy attacks that take place constantly.

DTEK Grids is doing everything possible to provide Ukrainians with reliable and quality power supply. As this provides an opportunity to live a normal life, stay in touch with family and support the country in difficult conditions of war.
