DTEK brings back light: over the course of a week electricity has been restored to homes of 43,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions

Over the course of a week (November 28 through December 4), DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 43,000 families, left without power due to shelling in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Despite frequent shelling, specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators make every effort to promptly restore everything that was damaged by the enemy.

Over the past week (November 28 through December 4), specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have restored operation of grids, damaged due to hostilities, for 43,000 families in 39 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Most of these settlements frequently suffer from russia’s shelling, so energy workers have to frequently restore electricity to them.

Intensity of hostilities and shelling remains high in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Our specialists managed to restore electricity to 40,000 families in the Donetsk region and almost 3,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

“DTEK restores electricity to tens of thousands of Ukrainians every day. Yesterday alone, our specialists have restored operation of grids, damaged by shelling, in 25 settlements of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, thus restoring electricity to 22,000 homes. Despite shelling and difficult situation with hostilities, specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators continue to repair grids upon permission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and SES,” – notes DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

96 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists will definitely restore electricity to homes of all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
